NEW ZEALAND

HI,
I'm on my way back from New zealand!I spent a week there for the WQS 6 star Gold Series Water ...
I lost at the 2nd round of the competition, I failed to find the good waves..
The place was really nice, a mix between the sea and mountains!!!
we landed in Auckland so we drive 6hours drive to Gisborne (contest beach),beautiful roadall the way down,and some nice surf as well..so good we were driving and when we saw some good waves on the road ,we went for a surf!!!
All the OAKLEY TEAM was staying together in a house by the sea, with jacuzzi and sauna, it was really good to come out from the surf and jump directly into the jacuzzi!!
The atmosphere was really great between the boys, Tom Whitaker was there to coach us and Beau Emerton (Oakley team manager oz) so it was really nice to enjoy the experience from this guys!

The waves were not great during the whole contest, lots of wind and it was weird because the water was slippery because of the rivers wich flung into the ocean
I spent a very good week in New Zealand with the boys ...
A big thank you to BEAU and TOMMY to driving us during this week!!!

J'ai passé une semaine en Nouvelle-Zelande pour le WQS 6 star gold water series...
J'ai perdu au 2eme tour de la compete,j'ai pas reussi a trouver les bonnes vagues.
L'endroit etait vraiment joli,un mix entre la mer et la montagne..
On a "visiter"un peu car entre l'aeroport de Auckland et Gisborne (le spot de la compete)il y avait 7hours de route!
On etait tout le Team OAKLEY ensemble dans une maison devant la mer,avec jaccuzzi et sauna,c'etait vraiment pas mal de sortir de l'eau et de se jetter direct dans le jaccuzzi brulant!!!
L'ambiance etait vraiment top entre les boys,Tom withaker etait la pour nous coacher peant la compete ainsi que Beau Emerton (oakley team manager oz) donc c'etait vraiment bien de profiter de l'experience des "vieux"!

Les vagues etaient pas super durant tout le contest,beaucoup de vent et c'etait bizzare mais l'eau glissait beaucoup a cause des riviere qui se jette partout le long des plages...
J'ai passer une tres bonne semaine en Nouvelle-Zelande avec les boys...

FOSTER'S and Back to the GOLD COAST

HI,
I spent 5 days in "Fosters" with the OAKLEY team for WAVES magazine.
The place is really great and not many people in the water, the waves were small but still super fun,
to going surf you need to walk a little bit on the forest or drive on the beach,that was so nice.
We really had a great time together: some bbq and above 8 hours a day surfing .
After Foster I spent two days in Newcastle with the team to watch the comp, then I go back on the Coolangatta until Monday then off to NEW ZEALAND.
I had to go with Brenno by car to get back to the Gold Coast but he left when I was surfing: ahahah thanks MATE, LOL.
So I must fly ...

J'ai passé 5 jours a "Fosters" avec le team OAKLEY pour WAVES magazine,
L'endroit est vraiment super et pas beaucoup de monde dans l'eau,les vagues étaient petites mais quelques session super fun quand même.
il fallait marcher un peu dans la foret pour allé surfer ou conduire sur la plage
L'ambiance était top on a vraiment passé du bon temps tous ensemble:quelques BBQ et surtout 8h de surf par jours...
Apres Foster je suis aller 2 jours a newcastle avec le team pour regarder la compete puis la je remonte sur Coolangatta jusqu'à lundi puis en route vers la NOUVELLE-ZELANDE.
Je devais rentrer avec brenno en voiture jusqu'à la Gold Coast mais il est partit pendant que je surfais: ahahah merci les potes,LOL.
Donc je dois prendre l'avion...

FREDO GOING BIG

HI,
I arrived in Australia a few days ago, at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast.
I had the chance to watch most of the WCT except 1st round.
The waves were not really good but the level was incredible. (Jordy, Parko, Kelly, Taj)
This is the first time I look at the CT here and it was great.
I stay with Brent Dorrington here he knows all the boys from here so we had a good laugh ..
Tomorrow I'm going for a few days' FOSTER ", it has 8 hours drive from the Gold Coast down to Sydney for a trip with OAKLEY Whitaker, Melling and the rest of the team.
It might be really fun trip and as it should be some good waves.

je suis arrivé en australie il y a quelques jours,a snapper rocks sur la Gold coast.
J'ai eu la chance de regarder presque tout le WCT sauf le 1er tour.
Les vagues etaient pas vraiment bien mais le niveau etait incroyable.(Jordy,parko,kelly,Taj)
C'est la premiere fois que je regarde le CT ici et c'etait top.
Je loge chez Brent Dorrington ici il connait tous les boys d'ici donc on rigole bien..
j'ai vu les autres Francais un peu aussi,d'ailleurs FREDO POUR LA 1ere fois en 35ANS s'entraine physiquement!!!!!
Demain je vais pour quelques jours a 'FOSTER",c'est a 8h de voiture de la gold coast en descendant vers Sydney,pour un trip OAKLEY avec Withaker,Melling et le reste du team.
Ca risque d'etre vraiment marrant comme trip et il devrais y avoir des bonne vagues.

Back Home for 1 week!

HI,
Some good session at home that always give pleasure before leaving for 1 month in Australia.
It's weird here since the shark attack, many people "see" sharks everywhere, we hear of sharks everywhere.
It's a bit scary but now the water is clear so there is no real risk...
I'm leaving this weekend in Australia so I have a few days to enjoy the waves and my friends.

Je suis a la Reunion pour 1 semaine,c'est toujours bon de revenir ici.
C'est un peu bizarre depuis l'attaque de requin de la semaine dernière..Beaucoup de gens"voient"des requins partout,partout...
C'est normal après une attaque mais l'eau est claire maintenant donc il y a moins de risque...il faut faire attention aux heures a laquelle on surf comme toujours...
Je pars a la fin de la semaine en Australie,2 semaines sur la Gold Coast a Snapper,mater la fin du WCT et surfer a fond...

Fernando De Noronha

HI,
I'm in Brazil for the WQS 6prime event in Fernando De Noronha with all the boys.
Fernando is an nature reserve,this place is amazing;nice waves,good food and the water color is incredible.
Looks like it's the paradise but not every-time,i lost on the 1st heat,i was needing just one small score but i didn't find a good wave.
So i'm enjoy my time with the free surf with Joan,Maxime,Alain,Marco and Tim.Tim is the only french surfer on the comp.
I hope to do better next time,i'm packing today to go back in France...

FRANCE!!!!!!!

Hey,
I'm in France,i've been here for 1 week now...I was at home,it was raining so much so i couldn't surf the water was to dirty. when i saw the forecast in France with nice waves and good weather,i decided to change my flight.
I feel good here,see all my friends,try some new boards and surf some really nice waves.
Last week end was amazing:the swell,the weather were incredible.I surfed "LA NORD" in tow-in with Joan Duru during 6hours,we had so much fun!!!
I'm leaving on friday to Brazil for the first prime event this year,the contest start on tuesdays 15th...

Je suis en France depuis 1 semaine,j'ai décidé de partir de la Reunion car il y avait de forte pluie et impossible de surfer l'eau était vraiment trop sale!!!La météo prévoyait de bonne vagues en France et surtout du beau temps donc ça ma bien motiver pour rentrer.
Je me sens bien d'être en France, revoir les potes,essayer de nouvelles planches,et surfer des bonne vagues...
Ce week-end les vagues ont étés incroyable,on a fais du tow-in avec Joan Duru pendant 6h,c'était incroyable on a quand même réussit a retourner le jet-ski a la fin mais rien de grave on a bien rigoler.
Je pars vendredi au Brésil pour la première compete de la saison qui commencera mardi.
